Mode of Inheritance
Albinism is either an X linked disorder, or a recessive trait, so a child must receive the recessive trait from both parents in order to get this disorder. It is found in many different ethnic groups, and is found in both males and females. Albinism effects one of five different chromosomes, those being chromosomes five, nine, eleven, fifteen, and the X-chromosome. In most cases, the X chromosome is only effected in males.
